It’s March so we are officially on our way to spring, but the chill and the rain persist.  At least until a day like today when the sun just has to break out and give us all something to smile about. I was up on the terrace trying to dry some laundry and I had to go back inside to get the camera……look what last year’s pruning has done to improve our view!  I know that soon these stick-like branches will be covered with leaves, but we’re still going to be able to see that magnificent and iconic shape……The Duomo of Florence…….all summer long.

It’s a view that I never tire of seeing and I’m not alone.  When I used the zoom feature on my camera to have a closer look, I could see all the folks who had already climbed to the top and it was only nine o’clock in the morning.  I wonder if anyone is using their zoom lens to take a photo of the hill I’m sitting on?
